Photo Exhibition on Yi Women

The orphan sisters Tejiu Aniu (left) and Tejiu Yinai are the first girls supported by the Souleiada initative, who will begin their university education (B.A.) in September 2011. In order to generate more support for their cause yet I organized a fundraiser as part of a small photo exhibition on Yi Women in Liangshan. The exhibition shows pictures of Yi (Nuosu) women and girls, which I took in Liangshan between August 2005 and September 2007, and runs from March 12 to April 7. More information can still be found at the gallery space (www.cafezarah.com). All profits (donations, photo sales) will directly support Yinai and Aniu.

The New Souleiada Infosite is here...
After a few major issues with our old website at www.souleiada.org I finally decided to close the site and instead switch to a blog format. That way, I can manage updates easily and quickly, and can share information with all of you on an even more regular basis.
We do continue to exist on facebook, where you can find us at www.facebook.com/pages/Souleiadaorg/26162331159. Please note, though, that facebook is blocked here in China and that regular updates there are thus pending.

I am always happy and thankful for comments, suggestions, and criticism. Thank you all for your continued support for the Souleiada initiative!

Best, Olivia
